SUKOSAN

Sukosan is a place with about 3000 inhabitants, situated on the Adriatic Coastal Road in the centre of Adriatic coastline 8 km southeast from Zadar. Sukosan is characteristic because of his beautifull sand beaches. A place is interweaving with traditional tighty streets and natural roads ideal for walking. Sukosan is a place were fertile ground is full of olive groves and were vineyards dive in the heavenly blue sea. Sukosan is a village and port in great bay (Golden port Sukosan), 11 km southeast from Zadar. Economical bases are agriculture, viticulture, olive growing, fruit growing and turisam. Addition to many gastronomy facilitys – restaurants, taverns – Sukošan hang on as place of wine and melody. A place takes care of ancient rituals. They are connected close to holiday of saint Kasijan, guardian of Sukosan (13. august). Local people organise delightful programs – nights of Sukosan. In period of carnevals very interesting are Luzari masks typically only for Sukosan. Thanks to very indented coast, over 200 islands, many channels, ductings and lagoons and suitable clime aquatorium of Zadar is a heaven for all kinds of nautical activities.
